ABOUT THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY EMPLOYEES' CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION
The San Diego County Employees' Charitable Organization (CECO) has been the charitable arm of the County of San Diego since 1956. CECO has distributed over $7 million to the local community by way of grants to local non-profit organizations and assistance to eligible employees and retirees facing a crisis.
In 2016, CECO was formally recognized as a Live Well San Diego Partner, joining many other organizations in our region in helping bring the Live Well San Diego vision of a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely and Thriving to life. For more information, see www.livewellsd.org.
CECO is employee-managed and volunteered-based and distributes 100% of funds raised back to the community. CECO is funded by the generosity of County employees and retirees who lend a hand via biweekly payroll contributions, one-time donations, and/or volunteering in CECO events. See Lend a Hand for more information.
By-laws govern the role, structure, and responsibilities of CECO.
The CECO Executive Committee is elected by the CECO Board of Directors and serve a two-year term.
